Police UPDATE: On January 19, 2022 at approximately 8:00 pm the Bridgeport Emergency Operation Center received reports of shots fired in the 200 block of Grandview Avenue. Police located a crime scene in the parking lot of the North End Variety Store (1482 Reservoir Avenue) as reports came in through dispatch of two gunshot wound victims arriving at St. Vincent’s Hospital. The two gunshot victims have been identified as two neighborhood men; ages 28 and 56. The 56 year old is listed in critical condition and the 28 year old is being treated for non-life-threating injuries. The Bridgeport Police Detective Bureau has responded and are investigating. 2022-01-18@12:40pm--#Fairfield CT-- #Bridgeport CT-- Two kayakers overturned while in the channel at St. Mary's By The Sea and Fairfield's Jennings Beach. The two let go of their kayaks and clung to the channel marker. Both Bridgeport and Fairfield responded to the rescue with Fairfield rescuing the two and taken to the Fairfield Marina to an awaiting ambulance. The air temperature was 37 degrees with very gusty winds.
