With winter quickly approaching and temperatures dropping, many homeowners may find themselves in need of heating assistance. Connecticut has a number of support options available to ensure no one goes without heat this winter. They include the following: Connecticut Energy Assistance Program: Administered by the Connecticut Department of Social Services, the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program (CEAP), provides winter heating cost assistance to more than 75,000 income-eligible households every year, regardless of their heat source. BRIDGEPORT, CT – At approximately 10:30 a.m. today 12/21/21, the Bridgeport Police Department'spatrol division responded to a hold-up alarm at the Webster Bank branch at 3546 Main St. Bankemployees reported the bank had just been robbed by a suspect who leaped over the counter anddemanded that tellers’ hand over the cash.
