Norwalk News: Faulty Equipment May Have Caused Crash

#Norwalk CT-- On September 15, 2021 at approximately 9:49 a.m., officers responded to the area of Linden Street on the reports of a vehicle striking a pole. FD and EMS were called to the scene as well, as the vehicle sustained heavy damage and was inoperable. The three occupants were complaining of significant pain, but did not appear to have life threatening injury. They were sent to Norwalk Hospital for evaluation, via ambulance. Westport Board of Selectmen to Hold Public Meeting on ARPA Funding

Westport, CT – First Selectman Jim Marpe announced today that the Board of Selectmen will hold a special in-person public meeting on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. in the Westport Town Hall Auditorium to continue review and public discussion of project ideas and prioritization for American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) funds to be distributed to the Town of Westport. Bridgeport News: Robbery Charges And Others

#Bridgeport CT-- On 9/15/21, Roberto Encarnacion aka "Spirit" DOB: 2/12/86 was taken into custody by Task Force members of the Bridgeport Police Department for an outstanding felony warrant charging him with Robbery in the 1st Degree and other related offenses, with a court set bond at $500,000.  During Roberto's arrest, he was found to be in possession of a 9mm Ruger firearm and Roberto is a convicted felon preventing him from possessing a firearm.  While in custody, Roberto was served with an additional 6 outstanding warrants with an additional total bond of $292,500.  The apprehension of Roberto Encarnacion was made possible through the efforts of the Bridgeport Police Task Force members, Detective Bureau, Patrol Division, and Fusion Center.   This is…

Covid Grants For Bridgeport Hospital

Congressman Jim Himes (CT-04) announced Bridgeport Hospital and Greenwich Hospital will be awarded $14,212,698 in grant funding through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The $5,111,679 to Bridgeport Hospital and $9,101,398 to Greenwich Hospital will reimburse the costs accrued from the emergency response to COVID-19, including expenses for PPE equipment, testing centers, medical equipment, and increased staff presence.
