“I am proud to announce the Town received another AAA rating from Moody’s Investors Services and FitchRatings”, said First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick. The AAA rating enables the Town to borrow money at alow rate, saving taxpayer dollars. Moody’s specifically cited Fairfield’s “outstanding credit position” and that“the town’s economy and tax base are exceptionally healthy.” The Town's annual bond and note sale was held virtually on Wednesday, June 23 rd , with members of the bond committee, Selectwoman Nancy Lefkowitz, Town Treasurer Chris Tymniak, as well as CFO, Jared Schmitt. Bridgeport News: Man Shot Overnight
#Bridgeport CT-- On June 27, 2021 at approximately 2:07 a.m. Bridgeport Police responded to the area of Main Street and Capitol Avenue on the report of a street fight. Officers were also advised of additional reports coming into the Emergency Operations Center of a party shot in the street outside the Mystique Gentlemen’s Club (2458 Main Street). Upon arrival, Uniformed Officers came upon a party shot in the neck. The victim, a 28 year old Bridgeport man, was quickly transported to Saint Vincent’s Hospital via AMR Ambulance and continues to undergo treatment. UPDATE: According to my sources, there was a confrontation between a man a woman on Pembroke Street. He got fresh with her and he allegedly punched her in the head. She then ran to tell her boyfriend and he confronted him. the suspect. As they fought, a friend of the suspect punched the boyfriend and then shot him in the leg. He took off on a motorcycle onto I-95 into Orange with police in pursuit.
