Ansonia News: Target Arrest Made

On November 5, 2020, the Ansonia Police Department with the assistance of the Bridgeport Police Department, Stratford Police Department, Connecticut State Police Gang Task Force and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force served two search warrants in Bridgeport and arrested Michael Lockhart for the October 21, 2020 armed robbery in the Target parking lot in Ansonia. The search warrants took place at residences on East Main Street and Maplewood Avenue in Bridgeport. The investigation is ongoing an additional arrests are expected. AG MOVES TO REVOKE OR REDUCE PENSIONS OF FORMER BRIDGEPORT POLICE CHIEF AND PERSONNEL DIRECTOR

Hartford, CT – Attorney General William Tong has moved to revoke or reduce the pensions of former Bridgeport Police Chief Armando “A.J.” Perez and Personnel Director David Dunn following federal guilty pleas involving the scheme to award Perez the Chief of Police position under false and fraudulent pretenses. Both men have pleaded guilty to federal Wire Fraud and False Statements charges. Perez currently receives a $102,072.36 annual pension through the Municipal Employees Retirement System (MERS). Bridgeport News: Pedestrian Struck

On November 4, 2020 at approximately 6:59 pm, the Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center received a telephone call regarding a serious crash at the intersection of Granfield Avenue & Success Avenue, Bridgeport, CT (vehicle vs pedestrian).  Bridgeport Police, Fire, and AMR Ambulance were dispatched to the scene. A green 2001 Ford F350 pickup truck was traveling eastbound on Granfield Avenue approaching its intersection with Success Avenue.  There is a four way stop at the intersection of Granfield Avenue & Success Avenue.  The Ford pickup truck failed to stop for the stop sign and struck a 70 year old Bridgeport woman as she crossed Granfield Avenue from the northwest corner of the intersection. Bridgeport News: Police-Involved In A 5 Car Crash

Police UPDATE: Last night at 1022hrs a Bridgeport Police Officer responding to a call for service lost control of their police vehicle and struck a parked vehicle on Park Avenue near Rooster River Boulevard causing a chain reaction into 4 other parked vehicles. The officer was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries and for evaluation. The Bridgeport Police Patrol Division is investigating the accident. 2020-10-04@10:45PMish-- #Bridgeport CT-- #SHU-- Police ae investigating a crash involving one of their own on Park Avenue near Rooster River Boulevard. Fairfield News: 2 Crashes

2020-11-04@5:16pm--#Fairfield CT-- Safe driving seemed to be an option in Fairfield as one person had to be extricated from a rollover crash on Fairfield Woods near Stratfield Road. The steering wheel had to cut to free the driver. Just as firefighters completed the extrication they had to go to a crash on Villa Avenue at Lewis Drive. Two ambulances were dispatched for those injured.
