Westport Recreation Upates

#Westport, CT – Parks and Recreation Director Jennifer Fava, is pleased to announce the following Parks and Recreation Department updates. Tennis: As of June 13, 2020, doubles play will be allowed at Town of Westport tennis courts located at Longshore Club Park, Staples High School, Town Farm and Doubleday (located behind Saugatuck Elementary School). Dogs off Leash: As of June 13, 2020, dogs will no longer be required to be on leash while in the off leash area of Winslow Park or other Town property where dogs are allowed. AG Leads Coalition On Price Fixing

Hartford, CT) – Attorney General William Tong led a coalition of 51 states and territories today in filing the third lawsuit stemming from the ongoing antitrust investigation into a widespread conspiracy by generic drug manufacturers to artificially inflate and manipulate prices, reduce competition, and unreasonably restrain trade for generic drugs sold across the United States. This new Complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, focuses on 80 topical generic drugs that account for billions of dollars of sales in the United States. The Complaint names 26 corporate Defendants and 10 individual Defendants. The lawsuit seeks damages, civil penalties, and actions by the court to restore competition to the generic drug market. Bridgeport News: The House Fire That Wasn’t

Here is the Bridgeport Police's attempt to report the news today: Today at 1438hrs a MVA occurred on Hillhouse Ave. Preliminary reports indicated a structure fire due to a vehicle striking a garage. Upon arrival BFD determined there was no fire but one party had to be removed from the vehicle. No further information on injuries at the scene but AMR was on-scene as well. Bridgeport News; Church Fire

#Bridgeport CT:. At approximately 6:15 this morning the Bridgeport Fire Department responded to a report of smoke coming from the church located at 719 Connecticut Avenue. First arriving crews found heavy smoke and a working fire. Searches for civilians inside were negative. Fire damage was confined to the first floor and basement, with significant smoke damage throughout.
