Trumbull News: Target Manager Pursues Shoplifter To Bridgeport Train Station

Westport Spring And Summer Programs

Westport, CT - Parks and Recreation Director Jennifer A. Fava announced that online spring and summer program registration will begin Wednesday, March 18, at 9 a.m. Walk-in, fax and mailed registration, and continuing online registration, will begin on Monday, March 23 at the Parks and Recreation Sales Office at Longshore Club Park (260 Compo Road South) during regular business hours (M-F, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm). Ms. Fava reminds residents that many programs will fill quickly and the fastest way to register will be online. Bridgeport News: Person Shot

2020-03-11@11:36pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Neighbors called police to report they heard people yelling on Staples Street (Wood Avenue side), then shots rang out and a person was lying in the road.  Police were quick to the scene but found no one in the street.  About 15 minutes later police word from an area hospital (I didn't hear which one) that gunshot victim arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle.  Officers located evidence on Staples Street and are preserving the crime scene until detectives arrive to further investigate.

Norwalk News: Burglary Arrest

2020-03-07@3:45am--#Norwalk CT--Officers responded to a residence on Raymond Terrace or a burglary. The homeowner observed an unknown party enter a shed located to the rear of the property. The suspect had stolen fishing poles from the shed, and the homeowner provided a description to officers as well as showed them a video of the suspect.   A description of the suspect was relayed to other officers that were working. An officer on patrol observed an individual matching the description enter Ludlow Commons, an elderly housing complex. Inside, officers located Jose Crespo who was identified as the person seen on the video and arrested.
