Police UPDATE:On February 23, 2020, the Bridgeport Emergency Communications received a call at 0150hrs regarding two parties fighting in the 1000th block of Park Avenue and that one party had possibly been stabbed. Upon arrival to the scene, police observed two parties fighting in the street. One of those parties had sustained a non-life threatening stab wound to the upper leg. That party was sent via AMR to the hospital for his injuries and was later released. Rhonel M Russell has been charged with C.G.S 53a-59 Assault in the First Degree and C.G.S 53a-181 Breach of Peace in the Second Degree. Police UPDATE: A ShotSpotter Activation came into the Bridgeport Emergency Communications at approximately 11:19pm in the vicinity of the 1000th block of East Main St. Once Bridgeport Police arrived at the scene they notice a trail of blood that leads to a local business. It was determined the victim came into the store after being shot and was transported to the hospital by the store owner. At the same time, the police wast alerted by Bridgeport Hospital that a gunshot victim had arrived at their location with multiple wounds, one being to the side of the head. BPD secured a crime scene and were also sent to the hospital to continue their investigation where the party was in stable condition.…
Police UPDATE: Police noticed an SUV driving at a high rate of speed and recklessly on a campus of a school located in the 700th block of Palisade Ave. Upon arrival, the responding officer observed two SUVs side-by-side. Once the Officer approached the vehicles, all parties exited the vehicles and headed into a marsh area. Officers on-scene were able to apprehend two (2) juveniles with another two still outstanding. Police were able to recover the two (2) stolen SUVs one out of Norwalk and the other out of Bridgeport. #Westport CT--On Wednesday, October 30, 2019, officers responded to the residence of Richard Lepkowski on a complaint of a verbal disturbance. Although no charges were warranted in connection with that complaint, during the officers’ investigation it was learned that there was a female living at the residence who was not a known tenant to the Westport Housing Authority. This female claimed that she had been living there with permission from the lessee; Richard Lepkowski. In interviews with officers, this female claimed that she had been using the premises to engage in prostitution in order to support a drug addiction. Police UPDATE: 2020-02-22@1:35am--#Bridgeport CT--On February 22, 2020 at approximately 00:41 am the Bridgeport Emergency Communications Center received a report from post A21 that she was involved in an MV crash at the Intersection of Park Avenue and Olive Street. A Bridgeport Police Vehicle was traveling northbound on Park Avenue in route to assist another officer on a call. As the Officer was approaching the intersection of Olive Street a Black Honda which was traveling eastbound on Olive Street failed to properly stop at the stop sign. As it crossed the intersection it was struck by the Police car traveling northbound.
