Manslaughter Arrest

#Norwalk, CT- Charlie Castillo, 29, of Bridgeport, turned himself in this morning, at the Norwalk Police Department on an active warrant. Castillo, whose charges include Manslaughter 2nd, is being held on a $500,000 court set bond and will be presented in court today.   On August 31, 2019 at 4:27 PM, Norwalk Police Officers and Paramedics responded to a Norwalk residence on the report of an unconscious individual. The individual was rushed to Norwalk Hospital in critical condition. Despite rescue efforts, the victim died later in the day. The investigation continued in the home where officers located suspect narcotic paraphernalia. The Norwalk Detective Division assumed the case. 2nd CT Resident Tests NEGATIVE For Coronavirus

#HARTFORD, CT – Governor Ned Lamont announced that test results from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirm that a second Connecticut patient that has been under investigation for coronavirus has tested negative. This patient was a high school student from China participating in a conference at Yale University in New Haven.   Earlier this week, a Wesleyan student in Middlesex County who was the first patient in the state under investigation for possible exposure also tested negative for the virus. Both patients have tested positive for Influenza Type A. Union Responds to Shooting at Bridgeport Courthouse

BRIDGEPORT, CT – The shooting on Monday, January 27, 2020 near the Golden Hill Street Courthouse in Bridgeport has reminded all of the need for increased safety for those who work in and around the courthouses. Over the past few legislative sessions, requests for enhanced security through additional funding to the Judicial Branch have fallen on deaf ears. Norwalk News: Man Assaults Another With A Pipe

#Norwalk CT--On February 1, 2020 at approximately 5am Norwalk Police were called to 11 Bedford Avenue because Brandon Wagshol had pushed an individual inside the residence. When officers arrived on scene, there was yelling inside the apartment. They knocked on the door and Wagshol came to the door and was detained without incident. Officers located a victim inside who Wagshol had pushed into a wall, causing damage to the wall. The victim had a large laceration on his/her head which was sustained when Wagshol hit the victim with a pipe. Officers recovered a two foot pipe from the scene which they secured as evidence.

2020-02-01@9:06am--#Bridgeport CT--An SUV was found in the waters at Dolphins Cove Marina this morning.   The vehicle was found approximately 75 ft from the Public Boat ramp wedged under a boat dock. Primary and secondary searches were negative for any occupants using pike poles and an Ice Rescue Thermal imaging camera through the two top roof sunroofs which were broken out.
