Stratford- On 01/07/2020 the Stratford Narcotics Vice and Intel Unit, with the assistance of the Bridgeport Police Task Force as well as the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, executed a Search Warrant for Narcotics and Firearms related violations. The Search Warrant was the culmination of an investigation conducted by the Stratford Narcotics and Vice Unit that focused on Narcotics Sales and Firearms related crimes within the Town of Stratford and Fairfield County. Trumbull Police Promotions

#Trumbull CT--On Monday, January 6, 2020, Trumbull Police promoted two (2) officers to ranking positions in their department. Brian Falkenstein and Robert Harry, who are both military service veterans, were promoted to the rank of lieutenant and sergeant, respectively, in a brief ceremony hosted by officials at Town Hall.   Falkenstein, most recently served as a detective sergeant and has been with Trumbull’s police force for more than thirteen (13) years. Bridgeport News: Brief Pursuit Ends In Crash

2020-01-07 @ 1:00PMish--#Bridgeport CT-- A two block pursuit ended when the suspects hit a landscaping truck at the intersection of Noble and Barnum Avenue.  One of the suspects was injured in the crash and transported to the hospital.  Police spokesperson Terron Jones said "At this time, original reasoning for the pursuit is not immediately available" but I did observe a number of under cover officers at the scene.

Governor Signs Restaurant Wage Issue

HARTFORD, CT – Governor Ned Lamont announced that he signed into law legislation his administration negotiated that brings a long-sought solution to the ongoing legal issue concerning wages earned by restaurant employees. Bridgeport News: Fire Destroys Multi-Family Home

UPDATE: The American Red Cross is helping five families – fifteen adults – one child after a fire today on Maplewood Street; Bridgeport. The Red Cross provided assistance to meet the families’ immediate needs. Responders included: Denny Davila, Carmen Davila and Susan Shaw. The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant; shaving supplies and other items a resident might need when suddenly displaced from their home by a fire. In addition, a recovery envelope containing information helpful to families recovering from a fire, including tips on cleanup; notification of important contacts; dealing with damaged items and more was provided.
