#WEST HAVEN, CT – Joined by military veterans, legislators, and advocates, Governor Ned Lamont today held a bill signing ceremony at the West Haven Veterans Museum and Learning Center to commemorate the enactment of three new laws adopted with the intention of expanding the ability of veterans to access certain state services and provide assistance after they have returned to civilian life. Ansonia News: 2 Pedestrians Struck
#Ansonia CT--On August 25, 2019 at 12:43 P.M., the Ansonia Police Department responded to the Stop & Shop at 100 Division Street in Ansonia to investigate a report of a motor vehicle versus pedestrian accident. The first officer on scene found two injured pedestrians; a car driving in the parking lot struck both pedestrians near the entrance to the store. The first pedestrian, a 51-year-old female resident of Ansonia, suffered a severe leg injury. Her leg was caught between the vehicle and a steel column causing the amputation of her leg below the knee. 2019-08-28-- Today, Mayor Joe Ganim was joined by Superintendent Testani and representatives of the Educational Task Force to launch Building Bridgeport’s Future, a “Bridgeport School Capital Improvement Plan. Items discussed were a plan to address the the physical and technological needs for each school in the city. Also discussed were the restoration of bus routes for the upcoming year and a new Bassick High School complete with athletic fields on the facility.
