Ruben Sandwiches At Crown Cafe

Today we stopped by Crown Cafe, at 2200 Madison Ave, again, and I had to try their version of one of my favorites, a Ruben and they did not disappoint! The rye bread was lightly toasted on the flat top stove, along with the sauerkraut and an entire half-pound of pastrami, the sandwich comes together with melted Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing, and man does it come together. The savoriness of the pastrami contrasts nicely with the sauerkraut, and the Thousand Island does a good job at bringing these two flavors together. Bridgeport Shuts Down Another Bodega

#Bridgeport Ct-- Mayor Ganim announced that the city is in the process of acquiring the property located at 604 Newfield Avenue, known as the “Snack Shop.” Upon inspection of this particular establishment, the Department of Public Health found numerous violations and issued an “Order to Close” the store. More than twenty health, building and safety code violations were uncovered at the Snack Shop and were very similar to those detected in the Sunshine Deli which was issued an “Order to Close” on July 31st, 2019. The City Council approved and authorized the property acquisition per the East End NRZ Strategic Plan of Action this past Monday. Norwalk News: Man Stabbed To Death

2019-08-8 @ 12:59 AM --#Norwalk CT-- Norwalk Combined Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a man had been stabbed at 39 Fairfield Avenue. Arriving Patrol Division Officers located the male in an apartment and began rendering aid.  The male was transported to the Norwalk Hospital by ambulance, where he succumb to his injuries. Norwalk Detectives and the Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.  The victim is identified as Michael Moody, 29 of 39 Fairfield Avenue Norwalk.  A person of interest in Mr. Moody’s death has been identified and the investigation remains active.   This press release is made possible by:

12:40pm--Bridgeport CT-- The Bridgeport  911 center received a call where the caller state they were going to go to Bridgeport’s Airport and began shooting people.  Bridgeport Police responded quickly, located the caller/suspect and arrested the suspect in Milford.
