Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo Hosts First Kids Week

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. –— July 15, 2019—Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo is hosting a Kids Week festival from Monday, July 15 through Sunday, July 21, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day. Fairfield-Bridgeport News: 10 Year Old Steals SUV

2019-07-15 @ 8:12pm--A person who parked at the Fairfield Metro Train Station reported that his car is missing after parking it there this morning.  A short time later Bridgeport Police dispatch calls received calls of a child driving a vehicle on Seaview Terrace, Ellsworth and Grove, Brewster and Bywater Lane and finally the vehicle being abandoned on Bywater Lane (off Brewster).  Fairfield Police dispatched their K-9 and Bridgeport Police apprehended a suspect matching an eyewitness description.  Police then conducted a line-up for the witness.  I contacted Bridgeport Police spokesperson and awaiting their response if the child was taken into custody to the youth bureau.  The stolen vehicle was recovered.

Bridgeport News: Man Shot

2019-07-14 @ 11:51pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Police received a call for a shot-spotter activation in the 200 block of Hallett Street.  Police discovered a car with bullet holes and blood in it.  A short time later a gunshot victim arrived at Bridgeport Hospital.  Initial report say the victim is alert and conscious.

Bridgeport News: Stranger Danger

POLICE UPDATE: On July 14, 2019 at approximately 2312hrs, a young woman walking on Alfred street was flagged down by male individual who attempted to get her to agree to enter the vehicle he was operating. The young woman declined. Shortly after, she shared the information with her mother who called police. Police located the suspect who was later identified as Juan Quechol-Mecatl shortly after. The vehicle he operated had misused plates. He was then place under arrest and transported to booking. Juan Quechol-Mecatl’s charges are below.
