Bridgeport News: Pursuit In The North End

Stratford News: Porch Fire

2019-03-19 @ 3:52pm--#Stratford CT-- Firefighters were called to a porch fire on Dover Street.  A fast thinking neighbor came running to extinguish the fire with a personal fire extinguisher.  Firefighters arrived to find the fire out, they ensure it was out and that it did not extend anywhere else in the house.  The fire marshal was called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.   If it were bad, our sponsor would have made it like it never even happened! Westport Police Make Assault Arrest

#Westport CT--On 03/18/2019 at approximately 12:00am, Westport officers responded to Stop  Shop, 1790 Post Road East, on a complaint of a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers learned two men had banged on the store doors with a pipe. They claimed to have been assaulted and asked to be let in. The store manager would not let the men inside, but offered to contact police. The men declined and left on foot, eastbound. Officers searched the area and located the men in the parking lot of Home Goods, 1850 Post Road East, after hearing what sounded like someone dropping a metal pipe on the pavement. Trumbull News: Overnight Theft From Cars Continues.

#Trumbull CT--Trumbull Police continue to investigate several thefts from vehicles that occurred over the weekend while the cars were parked overnight in residential driveways and other instances where cars were stolen from those same areas. On Saturday morning, March 16th, more than a dozen Trumbull residents of the Long Hill area found that their vehicles had been gone through and items stolen during the overnight hours. Most of these vehicles were left unlocked, and a few had the keys left inside. Two vehicles were stolen during this time, but were later recovered in Fairfield. One vehicle was found abandoned, while the other was occupied by three Juveniles and one adult, who were then arrested and charged with the vehicle theft.…

2019-03-18 #Bridgeport CT--The Bridgeport Police Department is attempting to identify the suspect and victim from this assault and possible abduction that occurred at 2225 Main St. (Cambridge Apartments) on March 16, 2019, at 2226 hours.  The victim was dragged and forced to get in the dark-colored vehicle at the top of the screen next to the fire hydrant. The victim and offender have not been identified and police are asking for the public's assistance in locating both individuals. State Police K-9 Graduates

(March 14, 2019): The Connecticut State Police K9 Unit is proud to announce the graduation of its 200th K9 Training Troop. The Troop consisted of seven K9 Teams from throughout the United States and specialized in Electronic Storage Device Detection. The graduation will take place this Friday, March 15, 2019 at 10:00 a.m., at the State Police Academy located at 285 Preston Avenue, Meriden, Connecticut.
