Bridgeport News: Homicide #10 UPDATE

Bridgeport Police update: On December 8, 2018, Emily Todd, 25 of Bethel, CT was fatally shot on Seaview Avenue/ Newfield Avenue adjacent to the boat launch ramp. Todd sustained a single gunshot wound to the back of the head/ neck area and died on the scene. Detectives believe that Todd was in the company of a male whom she recently met. We are pursuing substantial leads in the case and continue to examine evidence collected through the day yesterday and today. Boys & Girls Village Receives Grant

MILFORD, Conn. (December 4, 2018)  Boys & Girls Village received a $435,000 annualized grant from the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) to support delivery of an intensive home-based services program entitled Multisystemic Therapy - Building Stronger Families (MST-BSF). The program will treat families that are active cases within DCF where there is physical abuse and/or neglect of a child in the family plus substance misuse by at least one caregiver. A two-year pilot study of the program showed significant success, and a large-scale clinical trial of MST-BSF was completed earlier this year in upstate Connecticut. “We are grateful to have the Department of Children and Families’ support as we bring this important new program to Fairfield County,” said…

Fairfield-Bridgeport News: Rollover Crash

4:34pm--#Fairfield CT--#Bridgeport CT-- Both Bridgeport and Fairfield sent out their first responders at the intersection of Brooklawn Avenue Villa/Hughes Avenue.  Multiple calls said there was a person trapped inside the vehicle that was rolled over but the person may have gotten themselves out prior to their arrival.  Multiple ambulances were dispatched but it is not known how many people were injured.
