Westport News: Larceny

On 09/28/2018 at approximately 10:30am, officers were dispatched to AT&T located on Post Road East for a report of a stolen item. An AT&T retailer received an alert that merchandise had been removed from the store safe. The complainant, an employee of the AT&T retailer, contacted the project manager of a company hired to repair recent flood damage. The complainant spoke to the project manager identified as “Curtis” and another worker on scene. During the conversations, no one advised the complainant any merchandise was moved off-site, nor was anyone given permission to remove anything from the safe.   Upon officers’ arrival, the store was found to be closed due to the flood damage and there were no signs of forced…

Stratford EMS Volunteers Recognized

STRATFORD, CT –  Stratford EMS would like to take a moment to congratulate Stratford Volunteer EMS Association (SVEMSA) on being chosen as a recipient of the 2018 Lighthouse Award from the Stratford Community Fund. The Stratford Volunteer EMS Association (SVEMSA) was recognized with a Lighthouse Award on Thursday, November 1, 2018 in an evening ceremony put on by the Stratford Community Fund.  The ceremony took place at the Stratford Library.  SVEMSA was recognized among 5 other recipients who all engage in, support and promote volunteer activities that enhance the quality of life in Stratford. Bridgeport News: House Fire

7:49pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Firefighters were called to a structure fire at 47 Lenox Avenue. When they arrived they found fire on the first floor and one person suffering from smoke inhalation. The fire extended to the second floor and attic more than likely from the balloon style structure of the home. Firefighters had to open walls to ensure the fire was out and had the scene under control within the hour. The Red Cross was called for just occupant of the multi-family home. The fire marshal was called to investigate the cause of the fire.
