Stratford News: Possible Fatality In Fiery Crash

Police UPDATE: On Saturday night at 23:22 officers responded to a two vehicle car crash at the intersection of Nichols Avenue and Lincoln St. Upon arrival Officers found a male trapped in a vehicle that was on fire. attempts to extricate him were unsuccessful. A 51-year-old male was pronounced deceased. The operator of the other vehicle (52-year-old male) was transported to Bridgeport Hospital with serious injuries. The investigation is ongoing. Westport News: Motorized Wheel Chair and Car Collide

(Westport, CT) On 12/13/2018 at approximately 6:00pm, officers were dispatched to the area of 1700 Post Road East on a complaint of a vehicle versus pedestrian accident. Upon arrival, it was determined the pedestrian was riding a motorized wheelchair at the time of the collision. The incident required temporary closure of Post Road East at that location while officers, Westport Fire and Westport Emergency Medical Services were on scene. The pedestrian, a 57-year-old male from Westport, was transported to Norwalk Hospital with serious injuries. City of Bridgeport Issues Directive on Handling of Scrap Metal

Bridgeport, CT – Mayor Joe Ganim today has announced that City of Bridgeport Director of Public Facilities, John Ricci has issued a directive on “Scrap Metal and all other Material and Property from City Projects and Cleanups.”   This directive is an additional measure taken by the city government to prevent the mishandling or misappropriation of city property.   “It has come to light that we may have inherited past practices that are unacceptable with this administration and are not in compliance with this directive,” said Mayor Ganim. “This directive will clarify and eliminate any actions that may be contrary to proper procedure. Bridgeport News: Crash!

11:28pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A one car crash snaps a utility pole on Madison Avenue near Plankton Street.  The driver was in the care of EMS when I left the scene.  The power did NOT appear to be out.  Expect to be detoured if driving in the area.   Photo taken with no flash but from the Google Pixel phone using the Night Shot.  Not a sponsor but I'm still impressed with its capabilities!
