Fairfield News: Man Trashed Ladies Room

Fairfield News: Impaired Man

Assumption Alarms

1:25pm--Two calls for Assumption Church in two different towns at the same time. Firefighters called for smoke in a building at Assumption Church, Westport on Riverside Drive for smoke in the building.  Then, a call from Assumption Church at North Cliff Street for an activated fire alarm.  Westport's turned out to be an item smoldering in the furnace, contained in the furnace.   Ansonia Firefighters found nothing at their church.   This news report is made possible by:

Town Of Fairfield Launches Buy Local Campaign

#Fairfield CT-- The town of Fairfield launched it's Shop Local campaign this week.  Mark Burnell, Economic Developer for the town of Fairfield said they are trying to make this an ongoing event not just for the holiday season.  Owners of the Spic and Span Market Lori and Gregory Peck said they hope that consumers think twice before purchasing online, that the item may be available online.  They realize that the campaign won't cover everything for consumers but that consumers should make an effort to support local businesses who pay local taxes to the town and support local charitable events.  The campaign is stressing that fifty percent of money spent locally stays in the local community.

Fairfield News: Animal Cruelty

On 11/14/2018 at 3:59pm the Fairfield Police Department responded to 37 Prince Street for a report of animal cruelty. Officers responded to find several animal carcasses, which are believed to be canine remains, in crates within the residence. Fairfield Animal Control and Detectives responded to the house to further investigate.   The remains were removed after a search warrant for the residence was conducted. This case is currently under investigation by the Fairfield Police Detective Bureau and Animal Control Office. Norwalk News: House Fire
