Bridgeport News: Man Stabbed

Bridgeport News: House Fire

1:31am--#Bridgeport CT-- Firefighters were called to a house fire in the 2500 block of Old Town Road.  When firefighters arrived they found the fire in the fireplace had extended into the walls of the garage.  Firefighters had everything under control within 15 minutes.   Our sponsor can made this Like It Never Even Happened!

Fairfield’s Buy Local Campaign

#Fairfield CT-- The town of Fairfield launched it's Shop Local campaign last week.  Mark Burnell, Economic Developer for the town of Fairfield said they are trying to make this an ongoing event not just for the holiday season.  Owner of Ganim's Garden Supply Lee Ganim said he'd rather see customers go to local shops instead of big box shops saying the quality and service is much better.   Ganim said every Saturday should be small business Saturday!    The campaign is stressing that fifty percent of money spent locally stays in the local community. Bridgeport News: Another Pedestrian Hit By Driver Who Flees

Police UPDATE:    On November 23, 2018 at approximately 5:49 pm, Bridgeport Patrol Officers responded to the scene of an accident on Washington Avenue, just west of its intersection with James Street.  A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver while crossing Washington Avenue.  The operator fled the scene in a black four door vehicle traveling westbound on Washington Avenue.    The pedestrian, identified as Raymond F. Benson D.O.B. 10/24/1975, was transported to Saint Vincent’s Hospital where he’s listed in serious but stable condition.
