11:50pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A man is reporting to police that as he was walking home past Washington Park he was shot at. He reports that the shooter shot at him through the sunroof of the vehicle. It turned out to be paintballs. This news report is made possible by:
10:50pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A man was stabbed on or near Fairfield Avenue and went to the K&H Food Stop at 1309 Fairfield Avenue to call for help. It is not known where the man was stabbed nor where off Fairfield Avenue but police and witnesses were pointing in the direction of north from the store.
UPDATE: A stocky white male with a hoodie pulled tight over his face, no ski mask. 7:25pm--#Bridgeport CT-- An employee of Subway at 2385 Fairfield Avenue called the police to report that when he went out to empty the trash that someone wearing all black and a black ski mask attempting to rob the store but fled down Wilson Street after he realized he couldn't get in the store. 3:37pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police are looking for a green Toyota with a male in a blue shirt wanted in an assault at McDonalds at 1700 Park Avenue. The man was armed with a machete. This news report is made possible by:
11:00AMish--#Shelton CT-- On 10/08/2018 at approximately 11:00 AM the Shelton Police Department received a 911 call regarding an unresponsive two-year-old boy. The boy was discovered in the swimming pool by a relative on Copper Penny Lane where he was staying for the day. Shelton Police and EMS responded to the scene and the boy was transported to St Vincent’s Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. Initial investigation by Shelton Detectives revealed the boy wondered outside from the house and fell in the pool before he was discovered by a relative, who was babysitting him for the day. The boy resided in Shelton with his parents. The case remains under investigation. (Shelton Police Press Release)

At approximately 4:11 a.m., an officer patrolling the area of Pequot Avenue observed a suspicious vehicle traveling on Westway Road. As the officer began to investigate, the vehicle traveled at a high rate of speed down Old South Road. While the officer was traveling west on Pequot Avenue the suspect vehicle swerved into his lane across the centerline and struck the police car head-on. Three male subjects fled from the vehicle, while two female subjects remained in the vehicle and were apprehended by responding officers. Westport Police K-9 responded to assist with a track and led officers to the area of Westford Drive. Officers set up a perimeter and located all three subjects in the area of Westford Drive. Further…
#Westport CT--At approximately 1:30 October 6th, Corporal Kevin Smith observed a suspicious vehicle parked at Torno Hardware, 796 Post Road East, which was closed for business. One female and two males occupied the vehicle at the time and another party associated with the vehicle, later identified as Ninifa Ruiz, soon emerged from behind the building. While speaking with the occupants, Corporal Smith detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the car. Back up officers arrived on scene to assist. The female occupant was in possession of a small amount of marijuana, for which she was issued an infraction. Ruiz was later found to be in possession of ecstasy pills. Cpl.
