Stratford News: Public Flu Clinic

STRATFORD, CT (October 1, 2018) — The Stratford Health Department is sponsoring a public flu clinic on Saturday, October 13th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Birdseye Municipal Complex Gymnasium, located at 468 Birdseye Street in Stratford, CT. Bridgeport News: Mayor Bans Ghost Guns

#Bridgeport CT-- The press release said: "Mayor Ganim joined Bridgeport Polie Chief Perez, CT Against Gun Violence along with members of the State Delegation and Bridgeport City Council to take a stand for gun safety & legislation by signing a city ordinance banning 3-D printed weapons and ghost guns in Bridgeport".  However, the legislation signed today by Mayor Joe Ganim puts a $250 fine on the possession of a ghost gun.  This does not include 3-D printed guns.  The legislators are hoping for a statewide ban next year.

Fairfield News: Man Shot

9:07pm--#Fairfield CT-- Police are investigating a shooting behind Wings Over Fairfield at 2075 Black Rock Turnpike.  Sergeant Michael Paris told me that it appears to be an isolated incident involving one person.  Paris said they received a call from Wings Over Fairfield for a man lying in the back of the store asking for help.  Police were at a traffic stop at the plaza next door when the call came in were quick to the scene where they found the man.  He had a gunshot wound to the abdomen from a large caliber weapon.  When I asked the sergeant if it could possibly be accidental he said it was too early to determine and that detectives are investigating.
