Stratford Cops Need Your Help

The Stratford Police Dept. is attempting to identify the pictured individual who is suspected of stealing credit cards from a vehicle in the Paradise Green area of town and then using them at different establishments in town. The vehicle is believed to be an older model Honda Accord, color green. The vehicle has damage to the left front corner of the bumper. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Westport News Shoplifting Arrest

#Westport CT--On 05/25/18 at approximately 3:15pm, officers were dispatched to a Main Street retailer on a report of a shoplifting. An employee reported that three individuals shoplifted from the store and then placed the items into a vehicle parked outside. The employee provided the license plate of the suspect vehicle and descriptions of the suspects. Detectives surveilled the vehicle until the three suspects returned to the car. The suspects were identified as Camaleetha Davis and Sophia Grant, both of Bronx, NY, and Rushane Dwyer of Brooklyn, NY. Each suspect was found in possession of shoplifting devices for removing security tags. Dwyer and Davis were found with magnetic devices also commonly used for removing security tags. Stratford Burglary Arrests

#Stratford CT--Four Stratford residents, Dontrel Flathers (age 22), Jacob Ricco (age 21), Jalenthen Feliciano (age 22) and Sergio Barrera (age 21) were arrested after Officers responded to 3 rd Avenue in the Lordship area of Stratford on the report of a possible burglary in progress. The neighbor who witnessed the attempted break in gave a description of the suspects and their car to the responding Officers. The information was relayed to other officers and a short time later a Volkswagen Jetta matching the description of the suspect’s vehicle was stopped on Lordship Boulevard near Access Road. Bridgeport, CT - Bridgeport Lead Hazard Control is requesting qualifications from state licensed lead abatement contractors with their EPA-RRP Firm certification for the Bridgeport Lead Hazard Control (BLHC).  Bridgeport Health Department will identify and pre-qualify lead certified contractors and oversee the lead hazard control remediation of 150 housing units. Funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the City of Bridgeport proposes to remediate 150 housing units of lead over a three-year period.  These units will be scattered throughout Bridgeport; units that are occupied by children with elevated blood lead levels; units occupied by children under six; and /or vacant units to be rented to families with children under the age of six. State Trooper Passes

#Middletown CT-- It is with a heavy heart and great sorrow, that the Connecticut State Police and the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection announce the passing of Trooper First Class Walter Greene. TFC Greene passed away on 05/31/18, following a courageous battle with cancer, acquired as a result of his service to his country and fellow man after the terrorist attacks in New York City on September 11, 2001. As part of the Connecticut State Police response to New York City and the World Trade Center site in the aftermath of 9/11, TFC Greene assisted in escorting family members to and from Ground Zero.
