Bridgeport News: Firefighters Fight A Blaze On The East End

4:25pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Just before 4:30pm firefighters received numerous calls for a fire at 168 Kelsey Street. When firefighters arrived on scene they reported heavy smoke on the third floor. All occupants safely made it out of the three-family home. Within minutes the fire broke out of the hole firefighter cut to ventilate the building. Moments later fire spread, the fire went to two alarms and firefighters sounded the evacuation tone to get all the firefighters out of the structure. Within twenty minutes the bulk of the fire had been knocked down and by 6pm the firefighters recalled the alarm of fire. Governor Activates Emergency Adjuster Program

#HARTFORD, CT – Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the Connecticut Insurance Department has activated its emergency adjuster program that allows insurance companies to quickly register their out-of-state adjusters and bring them into the state to help with claims of property and auto damage. Fairfield News: Mutual Aid Sent To Brookfield

#Fairfield CT--#Southport CT--Fairfield Fire Cheif Dennis McCarthy told me today that Southport sent volunteers along with ATVs and the Fairfield Fire Department sent a firefighter and a lieutenant to assist with house to house searches in Brookfield.  Brookfield requested mutual aid from surrounding town after the town was extensively damaged by the storm yesterday.  The national weather service is sending a team to determine/confirm if Brookfield was hit by a tornado.   This news report is made possible by:

Bridgeport News: Supporters Continue Push For Gambling
