Westport News: Threat To A Teacher

#Westport, CT-- On February 27, 2018 at approximately 9:00am, the Westport Police Department was contacted by Staples High School officials and advised a juvenile male student was overheard making threats to shoot a teacher. The student who overheard this statement reported it to school officials that morning. Officers and detectives responded to Staples High School where the male student was already being interviewed by school administration. Based on the information learned by school administrators, it was confirmed the student did have thoughts of executing a mass shooting at the high school. Bridgeport News: Mayor Ganim Declares Snow Emergency

Bridgeport, CT – In anticipation of the pending winter storm due to impact Bridgeport, Mayor Joe Ganim is declaring a snow emergency for the city to take effect at 12:00 a.m., March 21, 2018.   During the snow emergency, residents must move their cars off posted snow emergency streets. March 21 is an ODD number day; therefore, residents should park on the side of the street withaddresses that are ODD numbers beginning tonight.  Snow emergency streets are marked with white signs with red lettering. Bridgeport News: Shots Fired Causes School To Lock In/Out

1:18pm--UPATE: They were unable to determine where the shots were from. Milford News: Foran HS Students Transported To The Hospital

Officals said: “It is believed the students fell ill due to overheating while standing on risers under the stage lights,” the statement said. “Emergency medical personnel were deployed to Foran and four students were brought to local hospitals for further evaluation as a precautionary measure.
