Bridgeport News: Police Open Fire After Pursuit

9:07pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Just after 9pm police attempted to pull over a red Toyota Camry on Laurel Avenue. The car took off and a short pursuit turned on to Wood Avenue, across North Avenue before coming to a stop at the corner of Birdseye Street. Police spokesperson Av Harris said that one shot was fired from a police officer, no one was hit. The officer was transported to St. Vincent's Hospital for protocol observation. I counted three suspects, all three were transported to the hospital after being tased. This is still breaking news, Av Harris has not spoken with detectives so this information can change.

Trumbull News: Student Arrested For threats Against School

#Trumbull CT-- On March 14, 2018, a juvenile was arrested by Trumbull Police after the student made an online threat of a shooting with the intended target being Trumbull High School. Trumbull Police was notified of the incident when concerned students and staff members approached a school resource officer with evidence of the threat on a social media site. The student had posted the threat to “shoot up” the high school along with other remarks about the school. Police and school officials took immediate action and detained the student, a 16-year-old female. Bridgeport News: Suspicious Package Update

9:35am--#Bridgeport CT-- A female caller at the Optimus Health Care at 982 East Main Street that a package that was supposed to contain a watch was much larger than expected.  The area was closed off and business nearby evacuated.  State Police Bomb Squad was called in and by noontime the area and facility were deemed safe to occupy.   I think I'd be suspcious of the package too.  The sender was Rong Kai FU Company (see close up insert top left of the photo).
