Police UPDATE: On 03/26/2018 at approximately 9:49pm an armed robbery occurred at Stratfield Mobil Gas Station 1271 Stratfield Rd. Fairfield, CT. The store clerk reported that a male subject entered the store wearing a hat with a covered face, armed with a knife, and demanded the money from the cash register. After taking the money from the cash register, the suspect left the store and ran south on Stratfield Road. The clerk was not injured during the robbery. The store video surveillance showed a short stocky male, wearing a white head cover, a black T- shirt wrapped around his nose and mouth area. He was also wearing a grey Carhartt long-sleeved shirt, grey sweatpants, and black shoes while carrying a knife. Anyone with information regarding the robbery, or the suspect pictured below, is asked to call the Fairfield Police Detective Bureau at (203)254-4840, or Text-A- Tip to CRIMES (274637).

 

 

9:41pm–#Fairfield CT–The Stratfield Service Center at 1271 Stratfield Road was robbed.  Detectives hadn’t a chance to check the surveillance video when I left the scene so they weren’t certain if the suspect matched the robber from last night’s robbery at Star Fuels at Jennings and Black Rock Turnpike.
