#Westport CT–In December of 2016, Westport Officers were dispatched to a Newtown Turnpike address on a report of stolen bank checks. The victim noticed that multiple checks were stolen from his checkbook and cashed. The victim reported that the checks were all made out to “Cash”  and had his fraudulent signature on them. The total loss was $1,900.00. The victim stated there is a handyman named Ralph that has access to the interior of the house. Detectives learned that the checks were deposited at a Bank of America, into an account they were able to connect to a Ralph Esposito. A warrant was submitted to Norwalk Court for the arrest of Esposito. On 09- 29-17, Westport Officers responded to Norwalk Court and served the arrest warrant on Ralph Esposito for the charges listed above. Esposito was processed and turned over to the JudicialMarshall. He was held on $15,000 bond.
