On Saturday September 2 nd , Pearl restaurant hosted a Summer Soiree fundraising party on its patio. With partners Valor Spirits and The Greatest Blaze, they donated proceeds from the event to first responders in Westport and Fairfield. Funds were raised through ticket sales, a raffle and a silent auction. A total of $10,000 was raised during the event. During the evening, it was decided by Westport Police Chief Foti Koskinas, Westport Fire Chief Robert Yost, Fairfield Police Chief Gary MacNamara and Fairfield Fire Chief Denis McCarthy that the funds raised during the event would be divided amongst the four local first
responder organizations and sent to the first responders in Texas to assist in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.

This afternoon a check for $2500 was presented to representatives from the Westport Fire Department that will be forwarded to the IAFF Foundation that is providing much-needed relief to first responders that have worked so hard assisting with Hurricane Harvey but who have also lost so much of their own. The Westport Fire Department would like to thank all of the wonderful sponsors that donated items that made this such an incredible fundraiser and the Pearl at Longshore for hosting such an amazing event.
