Bridgeport/Shelton’s Famed Gary DeCarlo Passes

I'm very sad to report that Connecticut's own Gary DeCarlo who wrote and performed the song Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye” has passed.  Gary is a graduate of Bridgeport's Central High School and made Shelton his home.  The song which was probably played in nearly every sports stadium worldwide.  The song sold nearly eight million copies.  Gary has been battling cancer for over a year and passed in local hospice overnight.

Fairfield Police Sergeant Robert Chaisson Retires

On July 7 th 2017 Sergeant Robert Chaisson is retiring from the Fairfield Police Department after 29 years of dedicated service to the Town of Fairfield. Sergeant Chaisson was hired on March 7 th , 1988 where he served as a patrolman before being transferred into the Special Services Division as an Accident Reconstructionist. Sergeant Chaisson served as an Accident Reconstructionist for 23 years investigating several of the Town’s most horrific crashes. He was promoted to Sergeant on January1st 2015 where he served as a patrol Sergeant. Trumbull News: Man Arrested For Abducting/Assaulting Ex-Girlfriend

#Trumbull CT-- On June 21, 2017, Trumbull Police apprehended David Gonzalez, age 24 of Success Avenue Stratford, on an arrest warrant for numerous domestic violence charges stemming from an incident on June 11, 2017 with his ex-girlfriend. The 21 year old victim reported to police that her car had broken down on Quarry Road in Trumbull. She called her ex-boyfriend, Gonzalez (whom police learned she had a protective order with from a December 2016 incident) to help her but when he arrived, he allegedly became angry after seeing evidence from her phone of conversations with another man. Westport News: 2 Caught In Package Thefts

(Westport, CT) On Tuesday, June 20 th at approximately 4:05 PM, the Westport Police Department received a complaint of a suspicious person from a resident on Weather Vane Hill. The complainant reported that a black male was on their property looking in the windows and manipulating the front door handle. The resident quickly determined that the suspect did not belong at the residence and called Police. First arriving Officer located the suspect, sitting in the front yard of the residence. While speaking with male on scene, a vehicle pulled up and it was determined he was there to pick up the suspicious person now speaking with the Officer. McConstruction

#Bridgeport CT--I just noticed this on the way to a call.  The McDonald's at 1900 Fairfield Avenue (in my opinion the best run MacDonald's in the area) is closed for construction.  I'll bet they will be installing the new self serve kiosks.  In my opinion most McDonald's need this to get the orders correct but at  it was the McEmployees that made this such a good store.
