Bridgeport News: Minvan Smashes Into Wall On Railroad Avenue

11:34pm--#Bridgeport CT-- It took firefighters about a half hour to extricate a man who drove his minivan into the wall on Railroad Avenue from Norman Street just past Went Park.  Assistant Fire Chief Caldaroni told me the man (who appeared to me to be an older man) will be alright after the crash. I guess I'll have to say editorial here as I say I marveled at how all the first responders worked like well conducted symphony.  With the loud roars of the nearby rescue and ladder truck the firefighters worked systematically, mostly without verbal communications.  Each first responder knew what their assignment is for each unique situation.  The vehicle was stabilized with wooden blocks, and the wheels chocked.  A…

Stratford Police Need You To Help Take A Byte Out Of Crime

#Stratford CT--The Stratford Police Department is investigating the theft of computer equipment from a construction site on Barnum Ave in the area of Agresta Terrace on 04-18- 17. The suspect entered an equipment truck and stole various pieces of computer equipment. The equipment is manufactured by Trimble and is estimated to be valued at $50,000.00. Fairfield News: Code Red Not Just For Emergencies Anymore

If you go to the town of Fairfield's CodeRED Community Notification Enrollment page (http://www.fairfieldct.org/codered) it clearly states" The Town of Fairfield has contracted with Emergency Communications Network (ECN) to license a new and improved high-speed notification system, CodeRED, which replaces Reverse 911 and provides Fairfield officials with the ability to quickly deliver phone messages to targeted areas or to the entire Town in emergency situations".   Yesterday, I received on my personal phone and business phone a "Attention!  Please hold for an important message" and then it proceeded to inform me of repaving on certain streets.  I also received texts on both phones from the EMERGENCY Communications Network from the same network.   With yesterday's messages not being an emergency, I…
