Latrell Eppes, 22, of Sylvan Avenue, was located by officers on Lakeside Drive and attempted to escape. Eppes indicated that he had a gun and threatened to shoot the officers, but was wrestled to the ground when he started to charge at them. 12:18am--Fairfield CT-- Tonight's vehicle fire was hosted by Fairfield with a car fire on Milendale Road. The homeowners said they were home for over an hour when the fire broke out. Firefighters two blocks away were quick on the scene and prevented it from spreading to the home. There was significant smoke inside the home and garage.
