Bridgeport News: Foot Pursuit After Car Pursuit

UPDATE: Fairfield Police Department  sent K-9 Maverick.   The third person was hiding in a porch on Pequonnick Street and he refused to come out. Maverick got his first bite out of crime and the suspect after numerous alerts they were going to sent the dog in. The man had on his possession a firearm with an "extended mag" according to police. 11:50am--#Bridgeport CT-- There is a foot pursuit on Park and North Avenue after a brief car pursuit.  Two are in custody and the third person they are looking fled on Maplewood and that person may armed.   This news report is made possible by:

Westport News: Are You Happy To See Me Or Is That Gray Goose Down Your Pants?

On 02/17/17 at approximately 6:00pm, Westport Officers responded to 1439 Post Road East (Castle Wine & Spirits) on a report of a larceny. Prior to Officer’s arrival, dispatch advised the suspect left in a red Chevy Trailblazer with a large sticker in the rear window. The store surveillance footage showed a male take a bottle of Grey Goose vodka valued at $56.99 and stuffed it down his pants. The male suspect then left the store in a red Chevy Trailblazer with a CT marker plate. On 02/20/17, a Westport Officer stopped the suspect vehicle in this case and identified the suspect as James Coates. The suspect was even wearing the same green Army jacket from the night of the Larceny.…

St. Mary-St. Michael School Art Enrichment Program Receives Grant

St. Mary-St. Michael Elementary/Middle School received a $1,000 grant from the Jamie A. Hulley Arts Foundation. The grant was awarded to enhance the schools after school Art Enrichment Program. Stephen DiRienzo , vice president of the Valley Arts Council and art teacher at St. Mary St. Michael, said the school is using the grant money to have community artists visit the school to teach students various art techniques. “We do these after school programs throughout the year; this particular session has visiting artists. Usually it’s myself working with the kids with various media and various techniques, but now we’ve invited three community artists because I wanted unique media & styles for them to be exposed to,” DiRienzo said. Bridgeport Police Investigate Baby Death

Bridgeport News: Baby Found Dead In Crib

6:45am- Friday, 4/7--A Sylvan Avenue family is grieving after awaking to finding their 14 month old baby dead.  Bridgeport Police Chief AJ Perez says it does not appear to be from SID's (Sudden Infant Death).  The chief said that at some time over the night the baby may have attempted to vomited or may have choked on the vomit and passed away.  Perez also said there were traces of hot dogs but he doesn't know if that had anything to do with it, that is the role of the chief medical examiner to determine.  It is a sad, sad day he said.
