Gun Waving Incident On I-95

10:18pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- A man in a gray Land Rover flashed a handgun to a passing motorist near exit 18 northbound.  Fairfield Police caught up with the suspect near exit 19.  They followed him and did not attempt to pull him over 25 until enough units were in place.  The man pulled over at exit 25 without incident.  Police said they recovered a handgun.  The man was turned over to State Police.   This news report is made possible by:

Bridgeport News: Stolen Vehicle Crashed In Short Pursuit

10:04pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- Police located and pursued a stolen white Lexus earlier this afternoon but broke off the pursuit.  Just after 10pm police located the same vehicle and attempted to pull it over.  The car attempted to flee and engages police in a very short pursuit before the stolen car crashed into a car parked at the corner of Oak and Grand Street.   Police quickly had both suspects in custody.  One of the suspects was transported to the hospital for facial injuries suffered when his face hit the windshield.

Stratford News: Bank Robber Caught!

#Stratford Connecticut--Keith Able age 55 of Florida was arrested after robbing Webster Bank of $1200 dollars and attempting to rob the Walgreens Pharmacy. Abel was taken into custody in Milford after he crashed a stolen car he was driving. The car was stolen in South Carolina. The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending for his involvement in both incidents. There were no weapons displayed and no one was hurt during the robberies. (Stratford Police Press Release)

Stratford News: Webster Bank Robbed By Same Person

1:09pm--#Stratford Connecticut-- The Webster Bank at 606 Barnum Avenue was also robbed by the same suspect according to radio reports.   An UNCONFIRMED report from a viewer said the suspect crashed in Milford with dye all over him from the dye pack.   It is believed to be the same person who robbed the Walgreens at 1606 Barnum Avenue.   As soon as I get more info from Stratford Police I will let you know for sure!

$15 an Hour Minimum Wage

HARTFORD – State Senator Marilyn Moore (D-Bridgeport) testified in support of two bills that will substantially improve the quality of life for people earning minimum wage in Connecticut.   Sen. Moore read her testimony Thursday afternoon during a public hearing of the Labor and Public Employees Committee in support of Senate Bill 13, which aims to provide more economic security to Connecticut families by increasing the minimum fair wage, and House Bill 6208, which looks to increase the minimum wage to $15 an hour over a five-year period.   Sen.
