Bridgeport News: House Fire

8:31pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- A fire that started in the garage at 36 Baker Street was wind whipped and quickly spread to the attached house.  Heavy smoke lingered the ground despite the heavy winds.  Firefighters quick action got the fire under control within minutes.  A check of the home found that everyone made it out safely.  There were no reported injuries.  The fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate the cause of the fire. Governor Announces Increased Housing For Homeless

HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Dannel P. On November 15 th 2016, an adult male victim responded to an advertisement on the mobile app “Offer up”. "Offer Up" is an internet app/site where individuals post and purchase items for sale and typically will meet in person to conduct their respective transactions. The victim in this case was attempting to purchase a used Iphone 6 from a male who identified himself as “John” from “Offer Up.”  The victim was directed to Browns Lane in Fairfield by “John”. When the victim arrived he parked his vehicle waiting for the seller. Bridgeport News: House Fire

10:13am--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- 3 fire lines are in operation at a house fire at 118 Bond Street.  A police officer on duty spotted  the fire and called in the fire department. UPDATE: The American Red Cross is helping two families –four adults – three children after a fire today on Bond Street, Bridgeport. The Red Cross provided assistance to meet the families’ immediate needs. Responders included:  M. Prangley, L. Gross, B. Grossman, and D. Heiden.   The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant; shaving supplies and other items a resident might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire.
