1:06am–#Fairfield Connecticut– Alarms in the building brought out the firefighters who quickly knocked down a fire in the kitchen at Nutmeg Bowl at 802 Villa Avenue. Assistant Chief Schuyler Sherwood was first on the scene and quickly called for more personnel and equipment to the scene. They had the fire extinguished within ten minutes.

I think the fire sprinkler system also had a significant role in saving this building from significant fire damage.
There was not mention of a sprinkler system on the radios or from talking with the assistant chief.
