#Bridgeport Connecticut–Bridgeport non-profit Bikeport Co-op gave away bicycles to one hundred children living in poverty this holiday season. The families of all the children earning bikes receive social services through Action for Bridgeport Community Development, Inc. Children will receive helmets with their bikes.

Bikeport Co-op is a community bike workshop located in the Arcade Mall in downtown Bridgeport. During the summer, high school youth earn bikes by learning bike maintenance and team working skills. This is Bikeport’s second yearly holiday bike giveaway with ABCD. This year’s giveaway is larger than in 2015 where 75 children received for the holidays.
