Westport Halloween Parade

The Westport Parks and Recreation Department, the Downtown Merchants Association and Westport P.A.L. have announced that the Children’s Halloween Parade will take place on Thursday, October 27, 2016.  This event is for all children, especially those 8 and under. Children and parents will meet at Main Street and Post Road East at 3:30 p.m.   The parade will go up Main Street, turn right onto Avery Place, then turn left on Myrtle Ave to Town Hall.  Entertainment, refreshments and a small gift will be provided on Veterans Green across from Town Hall at 4:00 p.m.   Please note that there will be NO PARKING on Main Street between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. during this event.  In case of inclement…

Bridgeport News: Thief Apprehended By Jose, A&E, DoingItLocal and Oh Yea, The Cops

5:40pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- How about some likes for Jose who apprehended an alleged thief in Black Rock.  Police said the suspect attempted to rob Timothy's Ice Cream at 2974 Fairfield Avenue but instead took the tip jar and fled across the street to Beverly's Pizza where he allegedly took their tip jar as well.  Jose sprang into action, apprehended the suspect.  He was also captured on camera by DoingItLocal.com, A&E and oh yeah the cops.  Way to go Jose! <iframe width="853" height="480" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/BmGR4ti3ONE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
