On September 16, 2016, at approximately 12:18 AM, the Norwalk Police Department responded to the area of 22 Wall Street for a fight. Arriving officers were immediately notified that three men were in the Norwalk River. Officers observed two men climbing out of the river and observed a third in the distance, swimming towards the Wall Street overpass. Officers immediately went to area but lost sight of the man. A search ensued, with the Norwalk Police Marine Unit and the Norwalk Fire Department searching the river. The Connecticut State Police Dive Team were also requested with additional specialized equipment. At this time, the male has not been located. Norwalk Detectives and the Marine Unit are actively investigating the incident.
