2:00pmish–How about some likes for these officer who rescued 4 puppies from a hot car. Parking Officer Galo Erazo (right) was working Main Street when he spotted four puppies inside a hot car in front of 1023 Main Street and called it in. Sergeant Christopher Robinson (left) arrived and was able to squeeze his hand inside the car and unlock the door. 3 puppies were inside one crate and another in carrier too small for his size. The officers were able to get bowls of water from nearby businesses and re hydrate the pups. Animal Control Officer Wallace arrived and took them to the veterinarian where they were found to be okay. The driver of the car was trying to sell the puppies. Sergeant Robinson arrested the driver charging him animal cruelty and it was found the driver had a suspended drivers licence. The puppies are at Bridgeport Animal Control at 236 Evergreen Street and are available for adoption. Well done to all that helped!
