Ganim Hires Assistant at $127,555 After Getting Union Concessions

Bridgeport, CT – Mayor Joe Ganim today announced the appointment of Kimberly Staley as Bridgeport Assistant Chief Administrative Officer. Staley recently left her position as Vice President and Director of client services with KRA Corporation where she managed all client-focused services, including contractual agreements. As Assistant Chief Administrative Officer, Staley’s duties will include leading the planning, coordination, and execution of targeted programs and operations to bring a fresh approach to the challenges Bridgeport is facing. Fairfield News: Water Rescue As Boat Runs Aground

5:22pm--#Fairfield Connecticut--Firefighters were called for a water rescue first at reef near the South Benson Boat Marina at 471 Turney Road.  Firefighters thoroughly checked the area and found no boats on the reef.  A short time later firefighters received a call from Sea Tow, a private boat rescue company was out with the boat at "Sunken Island" at the end of Fairfield Beach Road.   A nearby homeowner told me this was only the second large boat he has know to get caught up and that they had to be from out of the area, it turns out the were from New York.   Police and fire boats were not able to get too close to the boat otherwise they would…

Bridgeport News: 2 Pedestrians Hit

1:30am--UPDATE: The driver, a resident of Savoy Street just called police to turn himself in. He said he did not see the two women. It was dark and the women were wearing dark clothes. 12:22am--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- A police officer on routine patrol found two women laying on the side of Savoy Street at the corner Main Street.  The driver turned right onto Savoy Street, hit the two and fled.   One woman was not has a serious head injury and was not conscious at the scene.   The other woman was conscious and may have suffered a broken leg.
