On March 15, 2016, the Norwalk Police Department received information from a bank fraud investigator regarding the financial exploitation of an elderly victim. The investigation revealed that Angelo Bimbo went to the victim’s house looking for work and agreed to do repairs. Bimbo was able to obtain $24,750 in checks from the victim for work never done. Bimbo was identified by his Florida license, which he used to cash the checks. On May 12, 2016, a second elder Norwalk resident contacted the Norwalk Police Department to report a larceny.
