Employers Cannot Ask Of Criminal Prosections

HARTFORD, CT – Yesterday,  80 year old Senator Ed Gomes (D-Bridgeport) brought a bill to the floor of the Senate that aims to create fair chance employment. House Bill 5237, An Act Concerning Fair Chance Employment, is a set of hiring policies for private employers, designed to ensure that applicants with criminal records are evaluated on the merits of their qualifications, not on their criminal records. The bill received approval in the Senate and now moves to the desk of Governor Dannel P. #Stratford Connecticut:  The town has had a recent increase in thefts into UNLOCKED cars. We are also experiencing thefts of tires and rims from HONDA make automobiles. These incidents have primarily occurred during the late evening and overnight hours. Bluefish Pitcher Turns In Fins For Pinstripes

Bridgeport Bluefish team officials today announced that relief pitcher David Kubiak has had his contract purchased by the New York Yankees organization. These thefts are occurring while workers are diligently working on a jobsite often leaving equipment unattended. These thefts are crimes of opportunity and occur very quickly.
