Bridgeport News: 2 Senior Citizens Rescued From Drowning

10:18pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut--How about some likes for a rescue? Two senior citizens in their 70's won't forget this Friday the 13th. They were on their boat docked at the East End Yacht Club at 104 Bay Street when they both fell into the water. A witness told me that Gary Gilligan, a staff member rescued them from the water. They both suffered from hypothermia, the water temperature is in the low 50's Fahrenheit. They were transported to the hospital EMS.

Bridgeport News: Bridgeport’s 2nd Homicide Of The Year

12:00pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut--A man was shot on Madison at Frank Street. Area schools were locked down for a short period of time.  The suspect was captured by police and the gun recovered. Police located the suspect and gun around the corner on Madison Avenue. Police spokesman Av Harris said the victim died of injuries and makes it Bridgeport's 2nd homicide of the year.  Police identified the victim as Khalil Diaz.  Police believe the shooting is in retaliation and gang related for a shooting last year.
