On 03/29/16, at approximately 8:00pm, Westport Officers were dispatched to two locations on reports of unattended children. Officers located a 5 year old juvenile at Walgreens, 880 Post Road East, assisted by a woman who found the juvenile alone. Officers also located a 1 year old juvenile in the area of Toyota of Westport, 777 Post Road East. The 1 year old was found by a group of adults in the area. This was by the same woman.  Officers determined the juveniles were siblings with a home address of 655 Post Road East. Officers located the juvenile’s mother, Natalie Bonny, at her residence. Bonny stated she left the children home alone to take the bus to go shopping. Bonny was taken into custody and charged with Risk of Injury to a Minor, 2 counts. The Department of Children and Families is continuing to investigate the matter.
