Bridgeport News: 2 Injured In Construction Accident

3:09pm--#Bridgeport News:   Two men were injured after falling five and a half feet off scaffolding at the Crescent Crossing Apartments under construction at the intersection of Hallet and Martin Luther King Drive this afternoon.  Both men were transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.  A representative from OSHA was quickly on scene and began investigating.   In Darien this afternoon a construction worker died after falling from scaffolding at Nearwater Lane. Crescent Crossing Apartments has received a $5 million grant from the State of Connecticut to build the 93 affordable housing units.

Bridgeport News: 2 People Shot

UPDATE: DoingItLocal.com was the ONLY news source at the shooting on Iranistan Avenue. Here is the press release from Police: Last night, at about 2330 hours, two men were shot during an alleged drug deal. According to witnesses, Brandon Thompson (DOB: 4/17/1995 of 75 Kennedy Dr) went with his friends to Iranistan Ave to meet Immanuel White (DOB: 1/31/1994 of 152 Federal St) to purchase marijuana. They met in front of 1330 Iranistan Ave and an altercation ensued resulting in both men being shot, Thompson in the chest and White in the arm. Thompson was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital by private vehicle where he was rushed to surgery. He remains in critical condition. White was taken from the scene…

Fairfield April Break Programs
