7:54am–#Bridgeport Connecticut–First responders were called to 60 St. Stephens Road at the boat launch for a car submerged in the water.  Assistant Fire Chief Christopher Martin told me that rescuers were quick to the scene and were already in their scuba gear when Engine 7 arrived on scene and got quickly into the water.  There was nobody inside the car, divers used underwater cameras to look inside the Mazda SUV.  Scuba divers verified there nobody was outside the vehicle outside of the vehicle.  The crane used to place boats in the water was nearby and was used to pluck the vehicle from the water.  The car is thought to be stolen.  Special thanks to Garth Trotto for alerting me to the call, we had the only cameras on scene.
