#Fairfield CT--Developers broke ground on a multi-use area on Black Rock Turnpike at Commerce Drive, next door to Bigelow Tea which use to be the old Fitness Edge. The facility is looking to attract young professionals, commuters, empty-nesters with family ties to the community, who want urban conveniences, easy access to NYC with 101 residential apartment units comprised of 4 studios, 73 one- bedrooms, and 24 two-bedroom units. There will also be 14,900 square feet of retail space on the ground floor as well as a covered rear arcade. #Westport CT--Westport First Selectman Jim Marpe announced today that he has accepted the retirement letter of Chief of Police Dale Call effective April 1, 2016. After his official retirement date, Chief Call will remain with the Police Department in an advisory capacity until June 30, 2016 to insure a smooth, seamless and professional transition within the department. #Bridgeport, CT – Mayor Joe Ganim today announced the resignation of Bridgeport Police Chief Joseph Gaudett. Gaudett has served as Bridgeport Chief of Police since 2009 and is a 33 veteran of the department. Chief Gaudett will be taking a new position as a consultant for emergency communications within the Bridgeport Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, reporting directly to the Mayor’s office. At the same time, Mayor Ganim is announcing that he will name longtime Bridgeport Police Captain Armando J. “AJ” Perez to the post of police chief of the city of Bridgeport.
