Bridgeport News: Priest Fends Off Naked Man

12:11pm--#Bridgeport CT-- The church at the corner of Arctic and Kossuth Street reported a man broke down their front door.  At the time he had his pants on.  Radio reports say he was fighting with the priest and then fled down Kossuth towards Barnum Avenue where he was reported to be fully naked.  He may be under the influence of a narcotic.....Police finally get him contained near East Main Street.   This report is made possible by:

State Troopers Investigate Oxford Armed Robbery

Oxford, CT--(February 10, 2016): Troopers from Troop A-Southbury are investigating an armed robbery at the Sunoco Gas Station, 357 Oxford Rd. Oxford. On February 9, 2016 at approximately 10:30 p.m. Troopers responded to Sunoco Gas Station for a reported armed robbery. Upon arrival troopers spoke with store employees who stated the male suspect entered the gas station and demanded money from cash register. After receiving an undetermined amount of cash the male suspect fled the gas station on foot and headed South on Oxford Rd. No injuries were reported. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male approximately 5'10'' with a medium build. State Troopers Make Fraudulent Credit Card Arrest during Westport Motor Vehicle Stop

#Westport  CT-- (February 4, 2016): State Troopers from Troop G-Bridgeport conducted a motor vehicle stop resulting in the arrest of two people for the possession of fraudulent credit cards and other charges. On February 3, 2016 at  approximately 2:08 a.m., Troopers were conducting motor vehicle enforcement on I-95 Southbound in the Fairfield/Westport exit 17 area when they observed a white 2015 Toyota Camry being operated erratically and failing to stay in its proper lane. Troopers initiated a motor vehicle where the operator initially stopped the vehicle in the left shoulder. Troopers were able to assist the operator in moving the vehicle to the right shoulder. Norwalk News: Drug Bust

#Norwalk CT--On February 3, 2016, the Norwalk Police Department Special Services Unit and the Unites States Marshals Service Violent Fugitive Task Force went to 8 Muffin Lane as part of an ongoing fugitive investigation. Investigators  contacted an occupant of the residence while other investigators set up a perimeter around the house. As investigators approached the rear of the residence, a male ran out of the backdoor and fled into a wooded area behind the residence. Investigators and Norwalk Patrol Officers gave chase and captured the male, who was identified as Zachary Fisher, in a yard on County Street. Westport News: Changed Perscriptions

#Westport CT--On 02/04/16, Westport Officers responded to CVS, 397 Post Road East, on a report that a male suspect had fraudulently changed his prescription given to him by his medical doctor. The Officers and Pharmacist were able to  confirm with the doctor that the prescription for Vicodin was changed from “5” Mg to “7.5” Mg. The Pharmacist noticed the 7 was written in a different color ink. Douglas Lucas was located later in the day at his home in Fairfield and taken into custody. Fairfield Selectmen Honor Girl Scout Gold Award Recipients

First Selectman Mike Tetreau announced today that the Fairfield Board of Selectmen issued proclamations to Caroline and Isabella Carrano who earned the Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest and most prestigious award that a girl can earn in Girl Scouting. This award is given out to less than 6% of all girl scouts. The Gold Award requires at least 80 hours researching issues, assessing community needs and resources, building a team, and making a sustainable impact in the community. After completing prerequisites, each girl must plan, implement and lead a unique project that addresses a community issue and improves lives.
