#Norwalk CT–On February 3, 2016, the Norwalk Police Department Special Services Unit and the Unites States Marshals Service Violent Fugitive Task Force went to 8 Muffin Lane as part of an ongoing fugitive investigation. Investigators contacted an occupant of the residence while other investigators set up a perimeter around the house. As investigators approached the rear of the residence, a male ran out of the backdoor and fled into a wooded area behind the residence.
Investigators and Norwalk Patrol Officers gave chase and captured the male, who was identified as Zachary Fisher, in a yard on County Street. Fisher was in possession of a duffel bag that contained one pound of marijuana and $14,203. Investigators returned to 8 Muffin Lane and secured the house, while a search warrant was obtained. Once the search warrant was issued, Special Services Investigators executed the warrant and located additional contraband. Over a pound of additional marijuana, 5.57 grams of cocaine, a prescription Lidocaine patch, marijuana grow lamps, components to a surveillance system and an additional $1,310 were seized. Fisher was not the fugitive investigators were attempting to locate.
