A pursuit starting on Wood Avenue snaked through to State Street to Railroad Avenue Camden Street to Railroad onto I-95 and exiting in Fairfield at Commerce Avenue now a manhunt on Camden Street in Fairfield. They are wanted on drug and weapons charges.  State, Fairfield and Bridgeport Police had a very large net cast in an attempt to capture the suspect.  It was all along Commerce Drive, Camden, Rutland  Avenue as well as officers along North Avenue, many of the side roads on Kings Highway.   K-9 and officers searched the marsh area of Ash Creek off Rutland Avenue in Fairfield.  Police had officer in the Mountain Grove Cemetery which turned out positive as the suspect crossed the marsh and into the cemetery.  They capture the suspect at Mountain Grove/Maplewood Avenue and Dewey Street.  A great coordinated effort by all involved!  One Bridgeport Police Officer was bit by K-9, the extent of his injuries are not known at this time.  He was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital.In Custody
